Introduction to the “Mary Curie Science Camp”

In commemoration of Maria Skłodowska-Curie’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry and her contributions to science, the “Mary Curie Science Camp” has been held since 2011. The camp was initiated by academician Lee, Yuan-Tseh, who collaborated with elite scholars from the academic community in Taiwan and was supported by outstanding entrepreneurs in the industry. The camp offers lectures by leading scholars and speeches/panel discussions by business leaders and experts in the humanities. The camp includes two features: science lab experiments and visits to research institutions or companies. The camp seeks to motivate students to explore science and use their knowledge to benefit society, the nation, and even the world.
